Biography

DJ D'lite, is a DJ, singer, songwriter, and presenter.

As a child growing up in London in the late 80s, Dlite was surrounded by a blend of dance hall, reggae, hip-hop, drum n bass, and soul, all of which influenced the art forms she pursued.

Additionally, Dayo presented a music radio show, PowerXtra, and hosted shows to educate and empower young women to pursue their dreams and goals. It was during this experience that Dayo was encouraged to pursue a career as a DJ due to her personality and love for music. As a result, she bought her first controller and sought the support of top DJs in the industry.

Dayo is a passionate humanitarian dedicated to supporting global issues and economic campaigns. An example of her work was the ACD fundraising campaign for Stepping Stones Nigeria (SSN) in response to the BAFTA award winning documentary "Saving Africa's Witch Children" shown in the UK in November 2008 regarding the children of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It was not only a successful event that raised funds for SSN, but also created awareness about the plight of children in Akwa Ibom.

By embracing most of her childhood aspirations, Dayo has fulfilled many of her childhood dreams and has challenged her creativity as a singer, songwriter, dancer and DJ.
